It is compatible exclusively with the Lectra/San® MC™ and electro-scan™ Type I Marine Sanitation Devices (MSDs). The system features a Control Panel that monitors salinity, ensuring that salt solution is automatically dispensed to the MSD as required. It operates efficiently with a minimum pressurized freshwater supply of 15 psi (103 kPa).

The operational mechanics are straightforward: it requires salt water for optimal functionality, and manual salt addition is permissible outside of full seawater conditions. Upon activation, the system utilizes an electrical charge directed to patented plates, producing disinfectants that eliminate viruses and bacteria.
