The Netvanta 3140 is a fixed-port Ethernet access router designed to support Internet access, MPLS Ethernet services, VPN connectivity, and hosted VoIP applications. It features three integral 10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet interfaces and a USB interface for 3G/4G access.
This router supports a range of routing protocols including eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, RIP V1/V2, as well as static routing and bridging protocols. It offers VRRP and multi-VRF functionality, ensuring enhanced network reliability and segmentation.
Equipped with a full-featured QoS mechanism, the Netvanta 3140 excels at classification, marking, and queuing traffic. It also integrates NAT and a stateful inspection firewall for robust network security.
The device supports an industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI), along with management protocols such as SNMP, Telnet, TFTP, SSH, and HTTP. The standalone desktop housing comes with an external power supply, making it an adaptable solution for various environments.
Additionally, it includes Enhanced Feature Pack software for IPSec-based VPN, providing support for DES, 3DES, and AES encryption. Voice Quality Monitoring features enable detection of MOS scores, packet loss, jitter, and delay for optimal VoIP experiences.
