The Synology DVA1622 is a compact yet powerful 2-bay network video recorder (NVR), designed specifically for surveillance environments that require both storage flexibility and intelligent analytics. Equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron J4125 processor (2.0-2.7 GHz) and 6 GB DDR4 memory, it supports up to 16 IP cameras while delivering local HDMI output, keyboard/mouse control and 2 built-in USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, eliminating the need for a separate PC.

Built for intelligence, the DVA1622 offers AI-powered features such as people/vehicle detection, license plate recognition and intrusion detection. It supports up to 2 simultaneous deep-video-analytics tasks. The unit is “diskless”, giving you the flexibility to install drives of your choice, two bays support 3.5″ SATA HDD or 2.5″ SATA SSD drives.

With support for dual-recording (camera to NVR + camera to secondary location), H.264/H.265 video codecs, and 4K monitoring capability, the DVA1622 is well suited for home, small business or edge surveillance setups that demand more than basic recording.
